Ukraine's gambling regulator PlayCity has revoked the license of BGG Technologies Ukraine to run gambling in gaming machine halls. The decision was announced on October 29 on the agency's official website. Regulator representatives were refused entry to a scheduled inspection, after which the agency started the procedure to terminate the license.
The decision took effect immediately. The company can appeal it in an administrative court within six months.
In a statement on PlayCity's Telegram channel, the regulator says that compliance with the law and openness to inspections are obligations of all market participants. The regulator's materials do not include a response from BGG Technologies Ukraine.
PlayCity's website also lists other decisions on this company's licenses: in May and August 2026, the regulator already made decisions on its gaming machine licenses. They are not related to the current case.
Revoking licenses is not new for PlayCity. A few days after it started work in June, the regulator revoked the license of the online operator PIN-UP, citing the business's ties to Russia.
Pressure is also growing on advertising. PlayCity fined SPORT SOHODNI, the owner of the Tribuna.com website, for continuing to publish ads for illegal operators. In September, Ukrainian blogger and actor Bohdan Sheludiak was fined for promoting gambling on Instagram. According to the regulator, since its launch it has taken action against 16 bloggers and media outlets and expanded cooperation with Meta, TikTok, Viber and Google.
