The Belarusian Ministry of Finance said on October 15, 2026 that from 2027 fixed tax rates will be indexed by 6.2%. The indexation is tied to the inflation forecast. The amendments are included in a bill submitted to parliament and affect rates set in fixed amounts, including those in the gambling business.
For operators, this means higher payments for each gaming table, slot machine and betting cash desk. If the 6.2% is applied to the 2026 rates, the estimated figures for 2027 would be as follows (in BYN per month per unit):
- gaming table: 9,495 → about 10,084;
- slot machine: 319 → about 339;
- bookmaker betting cash desk: 1,995 → about 2,119;
- totalizator cash desk: 2,993 → about 3,179.
These are our own calculations, not approved figures. The final 2027 rates have not yet been set in law. For a hall with 100 slot machines at the standard rate, the increase would be about 2,000 BYN per month, or roughly 24,000 BYN per year.
The Ministry of Finance's statement does not make clear whether the indexation will affect the tax on gambling income. It refers to fixed rates, and we have found no reports of a new increase in percentage rates. For online operators that pay tax on income, the direct effect of the indexation is likely to be smaller. This is our interpretation, not a statement from the agency.
The bill still has to pass readings in parliament. The text of the amendments and the final rates should be checked after the law is adopted.
