Loteria de Cordoba, the state-run operator, has unveiled Cordoba Turf, an official online platform for horse racing in the Argentine province of Cordoba. The launch took place at the Clasico San Jeronimo, held at the Jockey Club de Cordoba racecourse.
The launch was attended by Loteria de Cordoba president David Urreta and deputy manager for online games Ivan Vayarini. Access to the platform is free. Only adults aged 18 and over may use it.
According to the operator, the platform is meant to expand digital access to horse racing and support the local industry. It will also serve as the official online channel for betting on horse racing in the province.
At the same time, the lottery is expanding its Experiencia Loteria program, which trains owners of agencies in its network. They are offered tourism products and services to sell to customers. The first session took place in the draw hall at the operator's headquarters. It was organized by the commercial deputy management, and tourism specialists Alejandro Lastra and Gisela Piazza advised on promoting the products and sales.
Lastra said agents should "recommend and bring tourism opportunities closer" to customers. As a result, he said, loyalty grows and tourism in the province gets support.
Loteria de Cordoba sees Cordoba Turf and the agency program as two directions of one transformation: digital expansion in horse racing and diversification of its traditional retail network.
