Swedish regulator Spelinspektionen on October 28, 2026 banned Immortal Snail LLC, which runs the duel.com website, from offering games in Sweden. The company does not hold a license to operate in Sweden. The ban takes effect immediately.
The company is registered in Nevis, part of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis. It shows a gambling license issued by the Anjouan Gaming Authority. The Duel.com site runs on the .com domain under that license.
The decision was based on signs that the site targeted Swedish players. The platform offered a Swedish-language interface and payments in Swedish kronor (SEK) without a license. The regulator also noted that promotion in Swedish continued.
The operator told the regulator that Swedish is an international language for it, that it had planned to block Sweden by IP address, and that it cannot control which currency players choose. A check on October 28 showed that IP blocking had never been implemented. The regulator found no evidence that players from Sweden were being prevented from registering.
For media buyers, the decision points to a simple takeaway: the regulator relied on the interface language, SEK and marketing in that language, meaning signals visible on the landing page and in the payment form. There is no existing Swedish license to revoke, so the ban cuts off access to the market rather than withdrawing a permit already in force.
For context: in its 2025 review, Spelinspektionen put channelization (the share of gambling handled by licensed operators) at 84 percent for the competitive market, down from 85% a year earlier. For online casinos the figure is lower, at 81 percent.
