A disabled ad account on Facebook stops all its ads at once, and new campaigns cannot be created in it. Access can be restored through Business Support Home, and only the account administrator can submit the review request.
Balance accumulated before the shutdown still has to be paid off: it is not written off together with the block.
Once the review is complete, the decision is final and the resubmit button disappears. An account that stays disabled for 180 days can no longer be restored.
Meta does not name a fixed review period. The answer can take several days rather than hours.
Opening a new account while the old one is disabled is not a good idea. Such actions are treated as circumventing restrictions and put the profile and Business Manager at risk.
Before filing a request, you need to determine which object is restricted: the ad account itself, the profile, the business portfolio, or the page. Meta can restrict an ad account separately from a page, so a request for one object does not lift the restriction on another.
The next step for a media buyer: open the status in Business Support Home, select the restricted object, and click “Request review”. If Meta does not offer a request, there is nothing to appeal.
