The regulator Coljuegos reported that Colombia's gambling sector earned $306.96 million in January–August 2026. That is 39.38% more than in the same period a year earlier.
Online betting was the main driver, with revenue of $148.57 million, up 84.24% year on year. Online bets account for about half of the sector's total revenue.
Player demand is also high. According to DataReportal, 13.8% of Colombian internet users aged 16 and over gamble online every month. In South America, only Brazil (19%) and Chile (16.6%) have higher rates.
