Ukrposhta and Kasta launch Ukrposhta Market with free delivery to post offices

Ukraine's national postal operator Ukrposhta, together with the Kasta platform, has launched the Ukrposhta Market marketplace. CEO Ihor Smilianskyi announced the launch on October 21. The catalog lists more than 10 million products, and purchases are available in the Ukrposhta 2.0 app.

The roles are divided as follows: Kasta is responsible for technology, sellers and assortment, while Ukrposhta handles delivery to its post offices across the country. According to the parties, delivery to a post office is free, and it is tied not to the order amount but to the service format itself. Terms for sellers (commissions, requirements, payout timelines) were not disclosed in the launch announcements.

Smilianskyi said the project is not state-funded and operates on market terms. He named as the main competitor not other marketplaces but neighborhood stores, especially when they close during air raid alerts.

Kasta has promised to assess payback and growth rates in the first months after launch. No figures have been given on the number of sellers, orders or spending on free delivery, so it is unclear how the economics of such logistics will work with low average checks.

For the market, this is a new player with its own network of post offices, competing against Rozetka, Prom and Nova Post. Sellers and partners should wait for the publication of connection terms and check them on the service's own page.
