The prediction market platform Kalshi announced a Series G round of $1 billion on October 29. The company's valuation after the deal reached $40 billion, and Wellington and Sequoia co-led the round.
They were joined by Baillie Gifford, Stripes, Andreessen Horowitz, Coatue, Layer Global and Morgan Stanley Investment Management. Sequoia Global Equities, CapitalG, Hudson River Trading and Balyasny Asset Management also took part. In May 2026, Kalshi raised another $1 billion at a $22 billion valuation.
The money will go toward growing prediction markets, the institutional business and new products: indices, perpetual futures on individual stocks and compute markets. Kalshi also named international expansion as a separate priority, with a focus on Latin America and Europe.
The company said its annual revenue outside sports markets has exceeded $1 billion, and its annual trading volume across the business is above $1 trillion. More than 30 million accounts have been created, and Kalshi says its share of prediction market trading volume is over 75%.
Kalshi gave the following figures for individual segments. Commodities markets generate more than $100 million in annual fees after three months of operation. Annual crypto trading volume reached $140 billion, and political markets exceeded $8 billion. The international retail business, launched in more than 140 countries, is approaching $100 million in annual fees. Since launch, perpetual futures have recorded $83 billion in volume and more than 500,000 traders.
The institutional segment had about 500 active participants in September. Excluding market makers, they accounted for about 25% of trading volume on the exchange. Among its partners, the company named Interactive Brokers, Nasdaq, Stripe, PayPal, Plus500 and S&P, with which it is preparing indices on prediction markets.
