iGaming Roles in Malta Average 58 Out of 100 for AI-Exposed Tasks

Aigentcy, an AI agency from Malta, has published an assessment of 15 iGaming sector jobs on the island. Fourteen of them scored 50 points or higher, and the group averaged 57.9 out of 100.

The company estimates how much of each task AI could save time on right now. No official task lists exist for iGaming. O*NET, which US statistics rely on, does not cover these roles, so Aigentcy wrote its own task lists for the 15 positions and graded them using the same method.

Online casino copywriters scored highest with 67 points, followed by customer support staff with 65. SEO specialists and KYC analysts each received 64, CRM managers 62, and affiliate managers 61. Below 55 points were product team owners (53), responsible gambling specialists (52) and compliance specialists (51). The only role under 50 was live casino dealers, at 28 points.

For comparison, the average across Malta's entire economy is 38.8. The sector, which employs 15,039 staff members according to the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA), sits well above the island as a whole on this scale.

Content, support and SEO functions at operators and contractors score highest, while compliance and responsible gambling, where decisions carry licensing liability, remain lower. For affiliate and CRM teams, a score of 61 to 62 means routine exports, reports and communications will be automated before strategic decisions are.

The authors stress that this is not a forecast of job cuts. "We're not saying the jobs will be cut. There's a lot of augmentation," Aigentcy director and co-founder Simon Bonello told NEXT.io.
