Jeju Dream Tower may expand gaming tables from 170 to 216 from 2027

Brokerage firm iM Securities expects the Jeju Dream Tower casino on South Korea's Jeju Island to expand its table count from 170 to 216 starting in 2027. The operator, Lotte Tour Development, has not confirmed the plans.

The forecast comes from analyst Hwang Ji-won in a report on Lotte Tour Development, the developer of the complex and its casino, which is open only to foreigners. The increase would be just over 27%.

According to the brokerage, 20 mass-market baccarat tables will be added on the second floor, where the casino operates now. A poker room with Texas Hold'em will open on the third floor, though the report does not specify how many tables it will have. The sixth floor will get a VIP baccarat room with 16 tables.

The report does not name its source. A Lotte Tour Development representative declined to comment on the changes to the layout of the gaming areas.

South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism counted 169 tables at Jeju Dream Tower as of April 2026: 140 baccarat, 16 poker, 5 blackjack, 4 roulette and 4 dai sai tables. The brokerage's estimate starts from 170.

An official from the Jeju administration explained that if the number of tables rises by less than 50%, local authorities must be notified and consulted. If the increase exceeds 50%, a construction permit is required. A 27% expansion falls into the first category.
