The marketing and communications committee of the European Business Association (EBA) surveyed 29 communications specialists at member companies. The survey ran in August–September 2026. 45% of respondents want to learn about an important publication within 15 minutes of its appearance, and 73% are willing to wait up to an hour.
Real-time monitoring is critical for the daily work of 79% of respondents, and another 14% consider it rather important. Three in four check monitoring results at least once a day. 41% follow them non-stop throughout the workday.
Speed, however, is rarely measured. Only 31% of companies regularly check how quickly their system finds important publications. On this metric it ranks last among the ten that respondents analyze.
A monitoring system alone does not guarantee an early signal. Over the past 12 months, 30% of companies learned about a negative publication from management, clients or partners rather than from a tool. In 14% of cases the material spread through reprints before the team reacted.
Among specialized services, MediaMonitoringBot is mentioned most often: 72% of companies use it. In unprompted answers, LOOQME came first (45%) and MediaMonitoringBot second (31%). Manual search has not disappeared, though: 72% of respondents use it.
Natalia Ulynets, head of the committee, called the gap "a certain paradox": companies want maximum speed, but not all of them measure it. For 48% of respondents, the main criteria for choosing a system are notification speed and ease of use.
